Affinity Designer 2 Help¶
Affinity Designer 2 Help uses unknown software presumably run on the Mac to generate their documentation pages.
Sections¶
There’s quite a large number of sections, but each of them are only one level deep. Section titles are not clickable; clicking on them will expand or collapse the section in the sidebar.
They start off with an introduction of the software, a feature list, and Personas, an important concept of the software.
In the next section they have a visual user interface reference that didn’t really work in my browser, as descriptions get cut off. They also introduce to you the toolbars in this section.
They also have a Getting Started section, which is an assortment of articles on how to create, set up, and sace documents.
The following sections are a mix of interface elements (Artboards, Layers, Export Persona, Layer effects, Adjustments, Distortion filters, Add-ons), concepts (Color, Object control, Text, Selections, Design aids) and procedures (Drawing curves and shapes, Placing external content, Vector painting, Pixel painting, Saving and sharing). They are ordered roughly in the sequence of things that you’ll encounter while working with the software.
The last few sections are reference sections (Workspace, Tools, Panels). In the appendix there is also a glossary that doesn’t work for me at the time of writing.
Remarks¶
- Chapters
They use
<details>-like elements to showcase single operations. Each has a clickable title that contains icons and objectives (”To do something:”), and when clicked, expands or collaspes the instructions. An example would be the chapter Selecting, moving and resizing artboards.
