Built-in Tutorials

In addition to tooltips, Inkscape also offers built-in tutorials with which you can utilize to learn Inkscape. To open a built-in tutorial:

1. Go to Help ‣ Tutorials in the menu.

2. Select any tutorial you like to view beneath the Beginner’s Guide option.

The tutorials should open in a new document tab in your opened instance of Inkscape. The tutorials are editable: that is, there are a number of sections that will allow you to edit the file the way you edit regular files.

The tutorial will reset on every open; if you want to save your progress, go to File ‣ Save or press “CtrlCmdS and select “Inkscape SVG” as the format.

The tutorials cover a great deal, and after running through some of them, you’ll be knowledgeable of Inkscape in no time.
