Save a File

Todo

Test saving in all file formats!

If a file hasn’t been saved before, saving it will make the Save As… dialog pop up. Otherwise, the file would be quietly overwritten.

To save a new copy of the file, you can utilize the File ‣ Save As… action. Doing so will write the file data to a new filename, and subsequent saves will overwrite that file. If you don’t want that file to become the destination of subsequent saves, you can instead use the File ‣ Save a Copy… action.

Some file formats have their own settings. If you are using the Save dialog, the file format options will appear after you press EnterReturn or click on Save. If there is no such dialog, the file format has no setting options.
