Installing Inkscape

Inkscape is a desktop program (as opposed to a webapp), hence the need to install it onto your desktop. Here we’ll cover the installation procedure of Windows, macOS and GNU/Linux; if you’re not on these platforms, please consult a domain expert on how the program can be installed.

Inkscape doesn’t have a built-in updating system. This means you will need to update Inkscape yourself by following the upgrade steps described in the sections above.
